The Real Madrid squad have been sent home on Thursday and told to self-quarantine.

A decision was taken by the club after a member of their basketball team tested positive for the coronavirus.

According to MARCA, all players were urged to leave the Valdebebas training complex at 11am this morning.

LaLiga games are already suspended for the next two weeks but Real Madrid are due to play Manchester City in the Champions League next Tuesday. That game is now surely in doubt.

Around half of the confirmed coronavirus cases in Spain are in Madrid.
