Real Madrid’s Nacho shared a moment with manager Zinedine Zidane after grabbing the winner in their 1-0 win over Real Valladolid.

The defender got on the end of a Toni Kroos cross to head home and send Los Blancos three points clear atop La Liga.

He celebrated by running straight to Zizou and the two hugged near the bench.

“I’m happy for him,” Zidane said at the post-game press conference.

“Just before that I told him to attack the near post.

“He’s a defender who doesn’t usually score a lot, so I’m happy for him.”

Barcelona’s 2-0 defeat at Valencia on Saturday gave Real the chance to move to the summit on their own, but Zidane insisted that they will not be getting carried away with this weekend’s events.

“Leading doesn’t change anything. We have to keep doing the things we’re doing well,” he said.

“It’s a long and difficult season.”

Next up for Real is a Copa Del Rey Round of 16 clash at Zaragoza on Wednesday.
