Yaya Touré will start a Premier League match for the first time this season when Manchester City host Brighton and Hove Albion on Wednesday evening.
Touré has been handed the captain’s armband for what will be his 316th and likely last appearance in a City shirt after it was announced last week that he will be leaving the club at the end of the season.
City are planning a special post-game celebration of the Ivorian’s eight years at the club and will also be debuting their new home strip at the Etihad Stadium.
Surprisingly, Claudio Bravo has been chosen to play ahead of Ederson in goal, while Oleksandr Zinchenko starts over Fabian Delph at left-back and Kevin De Bruyne drops to the bench.
Here are the two starting XIs in full…
City need two more goals to set a Premier League record for the most goals scored in a single season, while a victory over the Seagulls will see them set a new record points total of 97.
