Arsenal will not be signing Yannick Carrasco from Chinese Super League side Dalian Yifang on transfer deadline day.
Carrasco had been strongly linked with a loan switch to the Emirates throughout January.
But according to the BBC, the loan fee offered by the Gunners was far too low and the Belgian winger now looks highly likely to be staying where he is.
Milan were also interested in the Belgian international and were reportedly willing to pay more to take him on loan, but it seems his current employer would prefer to keep hold of him.
The 25-year-old moved to Dalian Yifang from Atlético Madrid last February and made his debut for the club – who are owned by Atléti’s partial owner Wanda Group – in an 8-0 defeat to Shanghai SIPG.
He has since made a total of 26 appearances, scoring seven goals.
