The World Cup has a habit of serving up the best moments. The moments we’ll remember for a life-time.

Whether that’s Maradona’s Hand of God, Gazza’s tears, Zidane’s head-butt or Brazil’s fourth goal in the 1970 final.

That goal is arguably the greatest ever – but one more recent effort, which could be considered its equal, came in 2006.

Argentina went into their second group game against Serbia and Montenegro knowing that three points would see them qualify for the knockout stages.

Despite beating Ivory Coast in their opening match, José Pekerman’s side had flattered to deceive and there were calls from people at home that this was a team not worthy of the shirt.

Those people were quickly put back in their box however, as Esteban Cambiasso scored the goal of the tournament, and one of the best in history.

No words can do it justice, but 24 passes later, the Inter Milan midfield finished off a move that will be talked about forever.
