With the season at a standstill, Wolves have taken the opportunity to reflect on their fantastic journey under manager Nuno Espírito Santo.
The former Porto boss took the reins at Molineux in 2017 and led the club to promotion from The Championship in his first season in charge.
One of the key moments in that debut campaign was a 1-0 win at Cardiff City on April 6, 2018.
Wolves midfielder Ruben Neves scored the crucial goal in the Welsh capital, and he claims the victory proved the Midlanders’ had the ability to win at any venue.
“It was a hard game, a really hard game for us and a really hard pitch to play at,” Neves told the official Wolves website.
“They were fighting with us for the first place of the league, but I believe, as we did for much of the time that season, our spirit was unbelievable.
“When we play like that, with that spirit, we can win in every stadium.”
Wolves would go on to claim The Championship title, finishing nine points clear of the Bluebirds.
Espírito Santo’s side secured a remarkable seventh-spot finish in the Premier League last season, and have reached the last 16 of the Europa League this year.
