Wolves have reportedly made a formal offer for América defender Edson Álvarez.
Álvarez was a standout performer for the Eagles last season, making 38 appearances across all competitions.
And according to Record, Wolves have tabled an improved bid of €15m for the 21-year-old.
However, Ajax have also matched their bid having seen their €10m refused in January.
Nuno Espirito Santo is said to be a huge fan of Álvarez and hopes Mexico team-mate Raul Jiménez can persuade him to join.
The appeal of Premier League football over Eredivisie football could also swing his decision.
