Wolves have long been linked with a move for Milan striker André Silva and they are now in ‘pole position’ to bring in the 23-year-old.
That’s according to a report from Gazzetta dello Sport, who state that Nuno Espírito Santo’s squad could spend around €30m for the Portuguese international.
Silva spent the season on loan at Sevilla and got off to a blistering start, notching seven goals in as many games.
However, he only scored two goals since the end of September and missed nine of the final 10 games with a knee injury.
It’s worth remembering that Nuno Espirito Santo managed Silva at Porto during the best season of his career. He finished the 2016-17 campaign with 21 goals and eight assists in 44 games and joined Milan immediately afterward in a €38m move.
Meanwhile, La Repubblica also reported that Milan and Roma are formulating a possible loan swap deal that would involve both Silva and Patrick Schick.
