Wolves are drawing ever nearer to the signing of Patrick Cutrone from Milan after he left the club’s USA training base.
Talks between the parties, orchestrated by Jorge Mendes who is very close to the striker’s agent, have been underway for some time.
That is according to Sky Sport Italia and a move appears a formality after Cutrone was spotted exiting Milan’s pre-season camp in Boston.
Wolves are set to pay a fee of €18m plus bonuses for the Italy international, who will sign a five-year deal at Molineux.
He is set to undergo a medical with the Premier League side in the coming days, ahead of their Europa League second leg qualifier against Crusaders.
Milan will now turn their attention to replacing him with both Angel Correa and Rafael Leão.
Elsewhere, Wolves received a boost when it was confirmed that the abdominal injury suffered by Ruben Neves on Thursday is not as bad as first feared.
