Willian will be leaving Chelsea at the end of the season after the winger confirmed that there will be no new deal for him with the Blues.

The 31-year-old Brazil international is out of contract in June, and had been in talks with the West London club about extending his stay at Stamford Bridge.

He was looking for a three-year contract from the club, but Chelsea refused to budge on their policy of only giving two-year extensions to players over 30.

“With Chelsea, it’s over,” Willian told Brazilian programme Expediente Futebol (via Metro).

“Everyone knows my contract ends in a few months. A renewal is difficult.

“Chelsea proposed two extra years and I wanted three. We’re not talking anymore. There won’t be a negotiation.”

Willian has enjoyed much success during his time in West London.

He has two Premier League winners’ medals to his name, helped lift both the FA Cup and League Cup, and came on as a sub in the Europa League final win over Arsenal last season.

The player has stated his ambition to finish his career with Corinthians in Brazil, but is understood to want to remain in Europe for the time being.
