After coming within a medical of joining Liverpool last year, it now looks as if Nabil Fekir could be set for a surprise move to Real Betis.
Fekir has 12 months left on his contract at Lyon with president Jean-Michel Aulas publicly admitting that the playmaker can leave if a ‘suitable offer comes in’.
And a report in L’Equipe has claimed that Real Betis are now ‘confident’ that they can complete a €30m deal for Fekir, paying him a €7m annual salary.
With Fekir near bound for Spain, it’s thought that is confirmation that Giovani Lo Celso is likely to be leaving the club, with his next destination being Tottenham.
L’Equipe say that Fekir is being brought in to replace Lo Celso, who will now move to Spurs for a reported €60m.
