Sick of the World Cup yet? Nope, us neither.

Saturday was another brilliant day of action and Sunday has the potential to be even better but first, a quick recap.

So yesterday, I was really busy trying to lick my own elbow. Can you tell me what I missed?

Sure. Belgium put in a contender for performance of the tournament so far with their 5-2 thrashing of Tunisia, and their only regret was that they weren’t able to put the ball in the net more than five times.

Mexico then sealed their passage to the last 16 with an impressive 2-1 victory over South Korea. Sadly for Son Heung-min, this super strike was only a consolation.

And in the late kick off, Germany came from behind to beat Sweden 2-1 and rescue their World Cup thanks to a last gasp Toni Kroos stunner.

OK. Sounds interesting. If you had to pick a best moment though, what would you go for?

It has to be that Kroos goal. What a hit, and what a time to do it.

Robbie Williams enjoyed it too.

Did anyone say anything interesting yesterday?

Iran defender Morteza Pouraliganji gave an insight into what an absolute nightmare it must be to have to mark Diego Costa.

“Diego Costa cussed everyone in my life during the entire game,” Pouraliganji was quoted as saying by Iranian journalist Sina Saemian.

“The things he said to me from the start till he went off were disgusting. He constantly insulted my entire family. He would just turn around and look me in the eye and insult my sister and mother.

“He thought I was inexperienced and I would get myself sent off, but I tried to be in control and focus on the game. Everything I heard about him was right.

“He would just swear to anyone and everyone whenever he wanted, as soon as the referee would come near us he’d go silent.”

This may surprise you but I’m into visual art. Can you show me a picture from yesterday that evokes all the emotion of the World Cup?

These South Korea fans have got the World Cup written all over their faces.

You know what? I am sick of football. What else could I be watching today?

I’m getting a bit sick of you, if the truth be told, but in answer to your question, check out the true crime documentary series The Staircase on Netflix. If you’re the kind of sick person who liked Making a Murderer, chances are you’ll get a kick from this too.
