Guillermo Maripan has been a star in his first season with LaLiga side Alaves and the eighth-placed Spanish side may be looking to cash in on their £1m investment.

The 24-year-old was bought from Chilean side Universidad Católica last summer and, according to football.london, West Ham could be a potential suitor due to a new transfer policy they plan on implementing this summer.

West Ham director of football Mario Husillos is very open to paying high transfer fees to younger players that do not require a high salary.

The 13-time Chilean international Maripan has featured in 23 LaLiga contests, scoring two goals and adding a pair of assists this season.

The report also goes on to say that Husillos is also interested in Olympiakos left-back Leonardo Koutris.
