Portuguese media have started to mention that West Ham United are interested in obtaining the services of Porto star Moussa Marega.
According to Portuguese daily A Bola, the fee for his potential move would cost the English side around €40m.
The striker’s contributions have been vital for Porto’s league aspirations this season.
The 28-year-old’s form has been nothing short of impeccable since his arrival in Porto.
His 21 goals and 10 assists in 45 matches have made him a scoring threat alongside Brazilian ace Tinquinho.
According to the publication, the Malian international is one of the players that Manuel Pellegrini requested to strengthen his team for next season.
After ending right in the middle of the table last year, the Chilean boss is looking for players that will help the club take the next step and clinch a European Cup place.
Going into the final match of the season, Marega and Os Dragões are two points behind the pace and will face Sporting Lisbon while Benfica face mid-table side Santa Clara this Saturday.
