Andriy Yarmolenko will be out for six months after he tore his Achilles tendon in Saturday’s defeat at home to Tottenham.
The Ukraine international only joined West Ham this summer from Borussia Dortmund and had started the season well under Manuel Pellegrini.
But the injury-prone winger will now be missing until April after being assessed by the club’s medical staff.
