West Ham have announced that they have completed the signing of midfielder Pablo Fornals from Villarreal.

The addition was confirmed by the club on Friday – via another classic social media video.

Fornals has put pen to paper on a five-year contract at the London Stadium and becomes the second most expensive West Ham signing ever.

The deal was completed for a fee in the region of £25m, with only Felipe Anderson costing the Hammers more.

The 23-year-old is very excited for the chance to play in front of a West Ham support he has heard so much about.

“I’m very happy to be part of West Ham. I feel very happy and very grateful for the opportunity that has been provided to me,” Fornals told West Ham’s official website.

“I want the club to continue betting on young and ambitious people, people who want to do well for the long term.

“I know about the loyal fans and the stadium, which is a beautiful stadium. The fans fill the stadium every weekend.

“That is something admirable, especially with the passion with which football is lived there. I think it is important to play with the support of your fans at home.”

Fornals is currently on international duty with Spain’s Under-21 side at the European Championship and has already chalked up over 150 senior appearances.
