Arsène Wenger believes the departing Aaron Ramsey will be a “big loss” for Arsenal moving forward.

Wenger brought Ramsey to the club from Cardiff in 2008, and when fit, would often select the midfielder in his starting line-ups.

However, Juventus were quick to sign the 28-year-old on a pre-contract with his contract set to expire this summer.

“It will be a big loss for Arsenal,” he explained at the Laureus Sport convention. “I must say it will be an interesting move for Ramsey.

“He is a player who is great going forward. His main quality is he can keep the final ball and he makes interesting runs from deep.

“You don’t find many players today who can make midfield runs off the ball. It will be an interesting addition for Juventus.”

The Welshman will be ending an 11 year stay with Arsenal, where he has made 362 appearances and won three FA Cups.
