Vincenzo Montella could be on the verge of losing his job at AC Milan, if reports in Italy are to be believed.
The Italian has presided over three consecutive Serie A defeats and pressure is mounting.
Under new ownership, Milan invested heavily in the summer. Results, however, have not been forthcoming.
Having spent around €150m on ten senior players, the owners would have expected a greater return than 12 points from the opening eight games of the season.
Milan take on Genoa on Sunday and some media outlets, such as Gazzetta, say Montella will lose his job with a defeat. Guus Hiddink has been suggested as an interim replacement.
Ahead of the weekend, Milan are 10th in Serie A.
