Barcelona midfielder Ivan Rakitić insists new signing Arturo Vidal must be given time to succeed at Camp Nou.
The Chile international arrived from Bayern Munich this summer as the Catalan giants look to defend their LaLiga title.
While he is vastly experienced, Rakitić believes Barcelona is a different to club to most and he will need a spell to settle.
“It’s not easy for new players to play at Barcelona. I know it for me,” he told Sport.
“Seeing it from the outside seems nice and easy, everything goes like in a video game, but then being inside is not so easy.
“You have to understand many things that are different from other teams.”
The Croatian also believes the other new boys, Arthur and Malcom, must be allowed to play free of pressure.
“I think that Arthur and Arturo (Vidal) must be given time to gain confidence, to understand how the game is going. Also like Malcom. All are signings that will help us a lot, but you have to give them time, without any pressure. They really want it. “
