After signing midfielder Marquinho from Athletico Paranaense on Tuesday, Vasco appear to be in the market for even more reinforcements.
According to several sources out of Brazil, Corinthians are ‘very close’ to allowing defensive midfielder Richard to join Vasco on loan for the rest of the season.
The move could be announced as soon as Thursday and it’s said that Vasco will be responsible for 60 per cent of his wages.
Richard has not been able to overtake Ralf in the starting XI since joining from Fluminense for R$11m at the beginning of the year and will look to gain first-team experience elsewhere.
The 25-year-old has made just five appearances in Brasileirão and Copa Sudamericana play, totaling 132 minutes.
