Valencia sporting director Mateu Alemany has revealed that any club wanting to sign Rodrigo this summer will have to part with €120m.
The Spain international has established himself as one of the most promising forwards in Europe over the past few seasons, and was Los Che’s top goalscorer last term with 16.
He got his campaign off to the best possible start on Monday, netting the equaliser as the Mestalla outfit drew 1-1 with Atlético Madrid.
Real Madrid have been the side most keenly linked with the 27-year-old, and Valencia’s sporting chief has revealed that if Julen Lopetegui’s men want the 27-year-old, then they’ll have to pay his release clause.
“I’m not in contact with them [Real Madrid],” Alemany told BeIn Sport.
“If they offer€120m, there’s nothing we can do, but Rodrigo seems to be very happy and motivated here.
“Rodrigo is very important for us and we want him to stay.”
