Few would have guessed that Bayern and Liverpool would have ended with a goalless draw in the first leg.
Though the situation is not exactly ideal for the German champions, Bayern president Uli Hoeness claimed he’s very happy with the result.
“With the 1-1 prediction, we already had suggested that our goal was a draw, and we’re also very satisfied with a 0-0,” Hoesness said in an interview with Sport1.
“Especially with the way that we played, the way the team presented itself: disciplined, all for one and one for all. That was a lot of fun.”
When asked what Bayern would do differently in the second leg, Hoeness delegated those responsibilities to the Croatian manager.
“The coach will decide that. He did well yesterday and in three weeks he’ll make the right decisions again.”
