Good news for match-going fans all around Europe: Uefa have decided to allow the consumption of alcohol at European games next season.

Until now, Uefa had forbidden the sale of any alcoholic drinks inside stadiums prior to and during Champions League and Europa League games.

However, fans in Britain will be left disappointed as the law there dictates fans at football matches are not allowed to consume alcohol in view of the pitch.

During any games in the UK, fans will now be able to purchase alcohol on the stadium concourse but will have to consume it before taking their seats.

Just last week, fans at the World Cup in Russia were hit by concerns that the country was already running out of beer.

Understandably, fans are pretty excited.
