Weston McKennie and Luca de la Torre will both miss the United States’ friendly meeting with Italy on Tuesday.

McKennie is struggling with a hamstring issue and has returned to Schalke O4 for treatment, while De la Torre stayed behind in London and returned to training with Fulham following Thursday’s meeting with England at Wembley.

Italy have also cut a few players from their squad for the game in Genk. Giorgio Chiellini, Lorenzo Insigne, Jorginho, Alessandro Florenzi and Lorenzo Pellegrini have all been sent back to their clubs, while Lazio striker Ciro Immobile has been drafted in.

Meanwhile, 18-year-old Brescia sensation Sandro Tonali is expected to make his senior international debut. The midfielder has drawn favourable comparisons with former Italy great Andrea Pirlo.
