Missing the World Cup? We feel you.

But never mind, because the season starts again soon and before it does, there’s going to be loads of tedious transfer sagas to get our teeth into.

Here’s the word on the street today.

Real Talk 😀

Chelsea have slapped a €225m price-tag on Eden Hazard’s head in an attempt to ward off interest from Real Madrid.

And the Stamford Bridge outfit will complete the signing of CSKA Moscow midfielder Aleksandr Golovin in the next 72 hours, despite rivalled interest from Monaco.

At least, that’s according to Italian outlet Corriere dello Sport.

Meanwhile, the Evening Standard report that new Blues boss Maurizio Sarri is hoping to complete a sensational double deal for Juventus duo Gonzalo Higuaín and Daniele Rugani before the transfer window closes on 9 August.

Toby Alderweireld has fuelled speculation he could be leaving Tottenham Hotspur this summer, with Manchester United thought to be his most likely destination.

“I have another two years’ contract,” the Belgian told reporters.

“Tottenham decides about my future. Of course I have my own idea, but that is not the case now.”

And according to Marca, Croatian World Cup rebel Nikola Kalinić is close to joining Atlético Madrid from AC Milan.

Fake News 😡

Don Balon claim Manchester United are ready to splash out €80m on Paris Saint-Germain winger Gonçalo Guedes. Maybe they are, but if Don Balon told us it was Tuesday, we’d check our calendar.

Don Balon’s random rumour generator also reckons Real Madrid are weighing up bringing Chelsea striker Álvaro Morata back to the club for a third spell. We’ll believe that when we see it.

And Real Sociedad’s president has denied the La Liga club want to sign Arsenal full-back Nacho Monreal.

Lyon forward Nabil Fekir has dropped a hint that he could still join Liverpool after all. Fekir’s move to Anfield broke down due to concerns over his medical earlier this summer but it seems the 24-year-old still has the Reds in his heart, if this footage is anything to go off.

Yaya Touré appears to be no closer to finding a new club, however. Touré left Manchester City at the end of last season and earlier this summer, the Ivorian’s agent Dimitry Seluk revealed his client would be willing to move to a top Premier League club for just £1-a-week.

But when Onefootball reached out to Seluk to ask if they’d had any takers yet, the answer we were given was unequivocal.

Manchester United’s chances of signing Gareth Bale have been dealt a huge blow as new Real Madrid boss Julen Lopetegui reportedly wants the Welshman to stay and replace Cristiano Ronaldo.

Speaking at his Juventus unveiling, Ronaldo revealed that the Bianconeri were the only club to make him an offer he couldn’t refuse this summer.

Manchester United have reached an agreement with Ajax over the transfer of Dutch defender Daley Blind.

Tottenham Hotspur left-back Danny Rose has emerged as a surprise target for Paris Saint-Germain.

Meanwhile, PSG right-back Thomas Meunier could be leaving Paris for Barcelona this summer.

Sevilla have told interested clubs they will have to pay €40m if they want to sign Steven N’Zonzi.

Bayern Munich have won the race to sign French World Cup hero Benjamin Pavard from Stuttgart.

And Crystal Palace boss Roy Hodgson has told Tottenham to keep their grubby mitts off Wilfried Zaha.
