There now appears to be a transfer race on the cards for Vincent Janssen.
Incredible as that may seem given how disappointing his three years in London have been, that is now the case.
Schalke have expressed an interest in signing him this summer but will now be met with stiff Belgian competition.
HLN report that Anderlecht are very keen on bringing in the Dutch international this summer.
“We are almost there and getting close on some [transfers],” said Anderlecht sporting director Michael Verschueren when asked about possible arrivals.
Although his side have yet to table an offer for Janssen, they are expected to engage in informal discussions.
Janssen wasn’t even issued a squad number for Spurs last season and spent the previous campaign on loan at Fenerbahçe.
However, he did return after an injury to make a surprise first team appearance off the bench against Brighton in April.
His 13-minute cameo against Everton in May in a 2-2 draw looks likely to have been his final appearance for the north Londoners.
