Moussa Sissoko believed Tottenham’s warm weather break has worked wonders.
Mauricio Pochettino’s squad have spent the week in Barcelona as they have a three-week gap between fixtures.
Spurs aren’t in action this weekend and don’t play again until after the international break.
“It’s been a good week,” Moussa Sissoko has told the club’s official website. “It was good to come here, especially after the defeat against Southampton.
“We’ve had a good time all together, trying to refresh the mind and to have some nice time together.
“Everything has been good.
“Now most of the players will go off with their national teams and hopefully we can come back and be ready again to finish the season well.”
Tottenham’s defeat to Southampton last Saturday means they have picked up just one point from their last four league games.
With injuries taking their toll on a small squad, the dip in form has seen Spurs drop away from the top two.
Instead of battling for the title, they’re now fighting off the chasing pack for Champions League places.
“In the last few months we have played a lot of games,” Sissoko explained.
“It was good to have a bit of rest and to spend some time all together.
“We obviously spend every day together at the training ground, but it’s good to all be away at the same time together and do different things and I think that will help us for the rest of the season.”
Tottenham’s next Premier League game will be against Liverpool on 31 March.
Before then, their attention will turn to Friday’s Champions League draw, where they will find out their quarter-final opponents.
