Tottenham are reportedly readying themselves for a number of offers for Mauricio Pochettino with Danny Rose admitting that the coach “deserves” to be linked with all the top jobs in Europe.

The Argentine tactician enhanced his reputation on Tuesday as Spurs came away from Barcelona with a point to progress to the last 16 of the Champions League for the second successive year.

Both Manchester United and Real Madrid have been strongly linked with Pochettino in the summer, and the Telegraph report that chairman Daniel Levy is working tirelessly to persuade the 46-year-old to stay in north London.

There are concerns that the manager may see the end of the season as the natural conclusion to his time with Spurs, and could look for a new challenge abroad.

And Rose has admitted that Pochettino is one of the best around and isn’t surprised to see his name crop up in the rumour mill.

“It’s no coincidence that every day you read Real Madrid want him or United want him,” he told the Telegraph “It’s exactly what he deserves.

“What he has done here in the last four or five years has been amazing. Not only for myself, but the club. He has transformed how others think of us outside the club and he has transformed how we think of ourselves, and how we approach big games.

“The belief he gives everybody is just amazing. For example, Kyle Walker-Peters made a mistake in Barcelona, but that will not affect what the manager thinks of him.

“He will stick with Kyle no matter what. That’s the sort of man he is, once you win his trust it will take an awful lot to break that. He has been amazing for myself and this club, and we hope he is here for a very long time.”

Tottenham have made their best ever start to a Premier League season and now host Burnley on Saturday, looking to further cement their position in third.
