Tottenham are ready to make an improved offer for Giovani Lo Celso after their first approach was rejected by Real Betis.
Spurs bid €60m for the Argentina international last week but that was turned down by the Verdiblancos, who are reportedly holding out for Lo Celso’s release clause of €95m.
The Mirror say though that is just Betis’ bargaining tool right now and that people close to the deal believe that they would accept somewhere in the region of €75m.
Mauricio Pochettino’s side were offered Sevilla’s Pablo Sarabia and Julian Draxler of Paris Saint-Germain, but refused both as they only have eyes for Lo Celso.
The 23-year-old netted 16 goals in all competitions last term and could be a direct replacement for Christian Eriksen.
