Tottenham have reportedly reignited their interest in Ante Rebić – five years after trying to sign him originally.

Rebić enjoyed a bit-part role for Eintracht Frankfurt last season but came to life in the DFB Pokal final, scoring twice against Bayern.

The 24-year-old has continued his good form at the World Cup for Croatia and scored a stunning volley against Argentina in Novgorod.

According to BILD, Spurs enquired for the forward and were slapped with an asking price of £25m for his services.

However, previous contacts may be beneficial in any potential deal after the club were close to signing Rebić from HNK Split in 2013.

Mauricio Pochettino is clearly in the market for an attacking player having already been linked with moves for Alassane Pléa and Hwang Hee-chan.
