Mauricio Pochettino has implored Daniel Levy to make signing Dani Ceballos ‘a matter of urgency’ this week.

That’s according to reports in the Spanish press which claim that the Tottenham boss has gone to his owner and warned that they could miss out on the Real Madrid midfielder if they don’t act quickly.

Ceballos has previously admitted that he would be interested in leaving Los Blancos on loan this summer in order to get more game time ahead of next year’s European Championships.

And Sport say that Spurs want to get a deal done by next week in order to beat Liverpool to his signature.

Jürgen Klopp’s side have showed a keen interest in the Spain international and are ready to make their own move in the next few days.

Sport though, insist that Pochettino is urging his superiors to get their act together and start talking to Real Madrid about the 22-year-old.
