After Mauricio Pochettino and Tottenham became the first Premier League club in the transfer window era to not buy a player, they may look to Eastern Europe to bolster their squad in January.

According to Teamtalk, Spurs are lining up a move for young Ukrainian starlet Viktor Tsyhankov.

The 20-year-old, who has just broken into the Ukraine national team set-up, is currently rated at €18m and is said to be monitored by some of Europe’s biggest clubs – including Tottenham.

Tsyhankov has scored 27 goals and assisted 25 others in 87 first-team appearances for Kyiv and has earned nine caps for his country.

The Ukranian is under contract at Kyiv until 2023 and can play on either side of the wing, though he prefers to play on the right.
