Whilst all around them are making big money moves, Tottenham have been keeping quiet during this transfer window.

That could be about to change, however, with news coming from Brazil that the north London club are interested in signing Ajax youngster David Neres.

It seems that manager Mauricio Pochettino has looked around his dressing room and decided there’s not enough Samba flair, and as such has been on the hunt for a bucket load of Brazilians.

Spurs have already been linked with Paris Saint-Germain forward Lucas Moura on a short-term deal until the end of the season.

However, Goal Brasil have revealed on Wednesday that 20-year-old Neres is in Daniel Levy’s crosshairs.

Tottenham had been the favourites to sign Bordeaux’s Malcom, but with the French club keen to keep him until at least the summer, Poch is going for his Plan B.

The youngster has been in sensational form since joining Ajax from São Paulo last year – netting eight times in 17 Eredivisie games – and would be available for a fee in the region of €40m.
