Tottenham emerge as favourites to sign Malcom from Bordeaux

Tottenham have reportedly emerged as favourites to sign the Brazilian winger Malcom this summer.

The 20-year-old has been strongly linked with a move to Inter, but looks set to join Spurs after a fee of around €40m was agreed with Bordeaux.

According to the Telegraph, Malcom’s representatives met with club officials in London earlier this week to discuss the potential move.

Malcom is regarded as one of the most exciting young talents in European football, often shining light for Bordeaux who struggled last season.

Mauricio Pochettino had to divert his interest elsewhere after Alassane Pléa opted to sign for Borussia Mönchengladbach instead of for Spurs.

The Daily Mail also report that the club are prepared to lower their asking price for Toby Alderweireld as they face losing the defender for nothing.
