Tottenham are nearing the capture of Giovani Lo Celso on a bargain deal after Real Betis agreed to lower their demands.
The LaLiga outfit had initially insisted on a fee of £60m for the Argentina international.
However, a report in The Sun now claims that Betis are ready to accept a £45m offer from Spurs for Lo Celso.
That comes in the wake of the Seville club landing a bargain of their own with the acquisition of Lyon’s Nabil Fekir.
After several weeks of negotiations, it now appears that an agreement is drawing nearer.
The story also claims that the former Paris Saint-Germain man has made it clear he wants to play under Mauricio Pochettino.
Lo Celso was an impressive performer for Betis last season, scoring 11 goals and providing four assists in all competitions.
