Tomás Boy may be on the hot seat, but that hasn’t stopped him from talking smack at vastly superior rivals América.
Chivas and América played out to a scoreless draw in a mid-season friendly in Chicago over the weekend, with both sides fielding much younger sides than usual.
“I don’t think América wins any game against me. Ever. Not Guadalajara. I really don’t believe that, with all due respect,” Boy announced boldly.
If Boy is still at the helm, he will have the opportunity to back his stance up on the 28th of this month when they face Miguel Herrera’s side in the Estadio Azteca.
Last season, Chivas were beaten 2-0 by América twice in the span of four days, which led to José Cardozo being sacked after another defeat at Pumas just two weeks later.
