Juventus are in need of a centre-back this summer and Tottenham could provide them with a cut-rate option.
According to Calciomercato, the agent of Toby Alderweireld, Frank Trimboli, has met with Juve regarding a possible summer move.
The 30-year-old Belgian has a £25m release clause in his contract which has attracted top clubs from all over the world to race for his signature.
Andrea Barzagli retired at the end of the season at age 38 after earning his eighth-straight Serie A title.
If Spurs do not cash in on Alderweireld this summer, he would be allowed to leave on a free transfer at the end of next season.
He will likely start in the Champions League final on 1 June against Liverpool in Madrid.
