Jürgen Damm himself confessed that there was ongoing contact going on between Chivas and his agent regarding a possible move ahead of the 2019 Apertura.
However, if Chivas want to bring in the 26-year-old, they’re going to have to pay a very high price.
According to various Mexican sources, including ESPN, Tigres have told Chivas they will have to spend $12m (€10.75m) in order to land the speedy winger.
Despite Damm publicly expressing his desire to join Chivas, it’s unlikely the Guadalajara side would be willing to spend that much money on a single player.
However, the Chivas board may attempt to convince Tigres to allow Damm to join on loan.
According to Fox Sports, the player, who has a contract until 2022, has reportedly received offers from two European clubs and one Liga MX side, which is believed to be Cruz Azul.
Tigres paid Pachuca $10m (€9m) in summer 2015 to acquire the 12-time Mexican international’s services.
