Isco’s future at Real Madrid looks to be in serious doubt after he was reported to have reacted angrily to whistles from the Santiago Bernabéu crowd on Wednesday.

The Spanish playmaker has endured a woeful start to the campaign, struggling for form and fitness under both Julen Lopetegui and Solari.

The 26-year-old has started just three times this term and has become a scapegoat for some in the capital as well as a symbol of their decline since Zinedine Zidane’s departure over the summer.

Los Blancos suffered their heaviest ever home defeat in Europe in midweek, going down 3-0 to CSKA Moscow.

And midway through the second half, the crowd whistled Isco after he went through and decided to shoot from a difficult angle, instead of passing to Vinicius Junior.

Isco, according to Cadena Cope, then muttered: “What do you want? Bastards.”

And those words could well come back to haunt the former Malaga man, with those inside the club supposedly furious with Isco for his reaction and recent performances.

Although president Florentino Peréz likes Isco on a personal level, he is thought to be ready to do what is best for the squad and sell the midfielder, with Manchester City’s 19-year-old Brahim Diaz coming in as a replacement.

The Isco situation has been described by the radio station as a “ticking time bomb” with the club ready to listen to offers in January.

The Champions League winner has a release clause of €700m but would accept offers of somewhere in the region of €90m.
