German defender Thilo Kehrer has completed his move from Schalke to Paris Saint-Germain
The 21-year-old emerged as a shock target for the French champions over the weekend, when Schalke sporting director Christian Heidel confirmed a deal was close to being done.
Kehrer’s Schalke contract expired at the end of the 2018/19 season but he had agreed a new deal in principle before PSG entered the frame.
The French champions will pay a €37m fee for the versatile defender, who can play left-back or centre-back.
PSG were expected to sign Bayern Munich’s Jérôme Boateng this summer but that is now unlikely to happen.
