Didier Deschamps has just announced his list for the next two qualifying matches for Euro 2020.
Kylian Mbappé, Ousmane Dembélé, N’Golo Kanté and Tanguy Ndombele are out.
But, worry not French fans, it is only because they are injured.
The really big surprise is that Samuel Umtiti did not get the call. Two players from Marseille, Steve Mandanda and Florian Thauvin, were also left out.
Another interesting aspect to the squad is the inclusion of Lille’s Mike Maignan and Jonathan Ikoné.
Finally, Aymeric Laporte (who has been absent since March 2017) and Wissam Ben Yedder also made the cut.
France will play Albania and Andorra at home. They currently sit top of their group with three wins from four games.
