Leeds United unveiled a new badge on Wednesday … it hasn’t gone down well.

After two decades with their previous design, the Lilywhites have decided to go in a new direction and it got us thinking about their previous designs.

Will the prominent white rose make a bold return? Would a new design be more simplistic, like those used in the 1970s?

The answer was not really either.

It’s not pretty. And apparently is also isn’t a joke.

Leeds United genuinely canvassed 10,000 opinions and STILL ended up with this.

“The new crest depicts the ‘Leeds Salute’, which over the decades has been an expression of the passion that connects Leeds United’s fans and players on and off the pitch and all over the world,” the club said in a statement.

The internet has – rather predictably – made the most of the situation. Not that we expect that to improve the mood of Leeds fans.
