Yerry Mina completed his move to Everton on Thursday but Barcelona made sure they’ll reap the rewards should he impress.

Everton have paid €30m for the Colombian, with a further €2m in bonuses likely to go Barça’s way. However, there is a buy-back clause should the club ever want to bring Mina back to Camp Nou.

The LaLiga champions will have the option to pay €60m to re-sign Mina at any moment, Marca have reported.

It’s a big fee but the transfer window continues to inflate and there are high hopes that Mina, who is just 23, will continue to develop.

Barcelona paid €12m for Mina in January but he made just four LaLiga starts between then and the end of last season despite Barcelona suffering injuries in defence and the sale of Javier Mascherano. Instead, Ernesto Valverde preferred to use fit-again Thomas Vermaelen on a more regular basis.

Everton also signed André Gomes on loan from Barcelona on Thursday and confirmed the capture of free agent Bernard.
