It’s no doubt that Club América are enjoying one of their finest spells in their history, winning three Liga MX and one Copa MX title since 2013.
Having reached the Liguilla every season Miguel Herrera has been in charge, there’s no doubt that several América stars will be called up for next year’s MLS All-Star Game, when the MLS All-Stars face a selection of Liga MX All-Stars.
If there are two players that are practically guaranteed to play, it would be Guillermo Ochoa and Guido Rodríguez.
Rodríguez has won the Liga MX Player of the Year award each of the last two years, while Ochoa has been the face of Mexican football for nearly two decades.
In addition, Jorge Sánchez could be included in a possible call to occupy his natural position at right-back, as he does in the National Team.
Depending on injuries and the basis for selection, there’s a good chance that Nicolás Castillo and Henry Martin could also be called into the team.
