All around the world, football is the king of all sports.

Forbes Mexico collected the most relevant financial data from the different clubs in the Americas, and there are several interesting things that can be appreciated.

One of them is that the MLS, in a fraction of the time and in a market typically described as ‘not a football nation’, has as many clubs in the top-10 as the Brasileirão.

Another interesting note is that Liga MX’s Club América, branded as one of the most affluent clubs in Mexico, has a considerably lower value than their nemesis Chivas, and even Monterrey.

Also noteworthy is that River Plate and Boca Juniors of Argentina narrowly make it into the top-10, although they are considerably behind eighth-placed New York Red Bulls.
