Chelsea’s upcoming FIFA transfer ban was always going to have a ripple effect and that effect may have become a little more clear.
According to the Evening Standard, Kurt Zouma (Everton), Tammy Abraham (Aston Villa) and Ola Aina (Torino) are all set to return to the first team in the upcoming year.
The trio have all enjoyed very successful loan spells, with Abraham’s 26-goal season with the Villains standing out the most.
The 21-year-old has had another brilliant campaign and has helped lead Villa to the promotion play-off final against Derby on the heels of an impressive Premier League campaign with Swansea.
“As a young kid, I’ve always believed I will play for Chelsea,” he said. “I think I have the ability. I just have to grab the opportunity when it comes.”
Zouma became an everyday starter for the Toffees, making 36 appearances (32 starts) in all competitions, while Nigerian international Aina has appeared in 30 games (21 starts) in Italy.
