Stuart Dallas is convinced Patrick Bamford has the quality to keep putting the ball into the back of the net on a regular basis.

However, Dallas has also warned that his Leeds team-mates that they need to step up.

Even though he scored 10 goals in 25 matches last season and netted in Leeds’ season-opening win over Bristol City, Dallas says Bamford doesn’t need the pressure of being the number one option following the sale of Kemar Roofe.

“It’s another case of not putting too much pressure on Pat (Bamford),” Dallas told the Yorkshire Evening Post.

“It’s important we don’t just rely on him all the time, he’s a confident lad.

“He can miss a few one week, but then go and score next week.”

Leeds are back in action on Saturday when they play away at Wigan.

Loanee signing Eddie Nketiah should take some of the burden off of Bamford and scored on his Leeds debut on Tuesday.
