Steve Bruce will hand Matty Longstaff his second start of the season this coming weekend when Newcastle travel to Chelsea.
The younger Longstaff brother scored on his debut last time out when the Magpies beat Manchester United at St James’ Park.
And now the Northern Echo have revealed that Bruce will keep faith with the teenager for the trip to Stamford Bridge.
It means that Matty will play alongside his brother Sean in midfield, with the manager opting against recalling the more experienced pair of Jonjo Shelvey and Ki Sung-yeung.
