Martin Dúbravka is set to join Newcastle United on loan from Sparta Prague until the end of the season.
The 29-year-old has travelled to Tyneside for a medical and is expected to sign for the Magpies before the transfer window closes on Wednesday evening.
Dúbravka has been capped nine times for Slovakia – one of which came against England in a World Cup qualifier at Wembley last year.
He will battle Rob Elliott and Karl Darlow for a starting berth at St James Park and his arrival will allow Freddie Woodman to go out on loan, with Celtic or Aberdeen touted as possible destinations for the 20-year-old.
Leicester City striker Islam Slimani is also expected to join Newcastle on loan on Wednesday, and here he is boarding a private jet.
