Southampton appear to be digging their heels in over the future of Spanish midfielder Oriol Romeu.
On Monday, AS reported that the 28-year-old was set to make a €10m switch to Celta Vigo.
However, according to Sky Sports, the former Barcelona man won’t be going anywhere.
Southampton reportedly informed Celta Vigo that Romeu was not for sale at the beginning of the January window. And nothing has changed.
With the Saints not boasting a big squad, Ralph Hasenhüttl is reluctant to let any senior players leave in the January window.
Romeu has been a major part of the Saints squad since joining from Chelsea for £5m in 2015 but has not started a Premier League game since early November.
